Back to Work
Well it's back to work and so much to do to catch up. The one bright light is that John Breaux may run for Governor and LOTS of people are getting excited. I met with the MBA Alumni group at Walk-On's last night for a "Wind Down" get together and met some new young folks. So energetic and ambitious. I did my Before, During and After pictures for the Obesity Goodbye website and if I can learn how to upload pictures, I will add them. I have to say that 50 pounds does make a difference.

Mardi Gras
No I didn't go to New Orleans for Mardi Gras although I did go to the Washington DC Mardi Gras last week. I spent the day in Rayville with Mom and relatives. Uncle John is in the hospital not doing well. This week I want to learn how to post pictures on this blog.

My First Blog
I created this blog to keep up with my fabulous daughter Beth and gorgeous grandkids Bradley and Ella. I love reading all her blogs and the blogs of all her friends. Not being high-tech, I will make an attempt at keeping up with activities and events.
Sunday I went to church at South Baton Rouge Church of Christ, then out to lunch with two friends from church, Ginger and Jo Ann, at Serop's on Corporate. I had soft-shell crab, yum, while they had traditional Lebanese veggie plates. Ginger and I went to Whole Foods for gellato and expresso. We sat outside in the sunshine.
Sunday night, my Sunday school "Lifegroup" came to my house for a lesson. Loren Scott is the teacher and we are attempting Revelations. Tough book but he is making it more understandable. I served peach cobbler and ice cream. Below is the recipe from Louisiana Cookin'. Real easy and delicious.

Mammy's Peach Cobbler
Jim Bowie's Relay Station
Enterprise, LA
1 stick butter
1 cup sugar
1 cup flour
1 cup milk
1 teaspoon vanilla flavoring
1 (29-ounce) can sliced peaches
In a 9x12 inch baking dish, melt butter. While melting, mix sugar, flour, milk and vanilla flavoring in a bowl. Pour batter on top of the melted butter. Do not stir this in. Pour peaches and their juice over batter. Bake at 350 degrees F until mixture is golden brown, 45 minutes to an hour. Serve with ice cream.
Bernadette
Forgot to add that Bernadette came over after the Lifegroup and practiced her speech for Friday in Atlanta to all the sales force in her company. She prepared a packet and a power point. You go girl! We also looked at brochures for Sicily, Italy for a maybe July wedding for her and Ray.
Ray is my successful son who lives in Houston and is Internal Audit Manager for Ernst & Young. This week he is auditing Dell Computer in Austin!
